Custom Colour Plain colours are best applied in thin coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. Bodyshells flex a great deal, especially on impact and by applying in thin even coats, a more durable and sustained look will be achieved.

Custom Colour - Metallic
To allow the effect to work, these colours are not quite as dense as the plain colours and therefore will take more coats and more care to attain a finish without shading. Some can be a little translucent and will benefit from a silver backing (Crystal Base Silver).

Custom Colour - Fusion
Custom Colour Fusion colours work by refraction and reflection. Depending on the angle of view, they produce different colours. The intensity of these colours depends on how many coats you apply, we recommend three or four. As with the candy colours, the paint can be backed with any colour, however we recommend using black (Jet Black).
NOTE: Jet Black backing colour is required on fusion colours and is available in the drop down list below.

Custom Colour - Candy
Custom Colour Candies are a tinted translucent lacquer, the effect being completed by backing them up with a base colour. The range includes a silver or gold especially for this, but backing up with different colours can produce an overall different colour. We recommend four coats of candy, followed by two or three coats of silver or gold backing.
NOTE: Crystal Base Silver or Gold backing colour is required on all candy colours and is available in the drop down list below.

Custom Colour - Fluorescent
Custom Colour Fluorescent are a translucent colour that rely on a white (Brilliant White) base coat to create the effect. When applying the colour coat, it is difficult to make sure that the colour is covering evenly. Split the bodyshell into sections and spray systematically to help with this. The more time you take, the better the finish!
NOTE: Brilliant White backing colour is required on all fluorescent colours and is available in the drop down list below.

Custom Colour - Nitro Block
Custom colour Nitro Block is designed for bodyshells on nitro cars. Once you have completed painting your bodyshell, apply nitro block to ensure that fuel cannot attack and damage your paint job. Nitro fuel breaks down car paint very easily and we strongly advise the use of nitro block when appropriate.
